Department of Pharmacology

 

In 2024, various members were recognised for their achievements via promotions, awards or honours. Here are a few notable awards from last year:

  • The British Pharmaceutical Society awarded Dr Matthew Harper the Rang Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching and appointed him to a Fellowship within the Society.
  • UKRI awarded Dr Alecia-Jane Twigger a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.
  • Durham University awarded Dr Ioanna Mela the Durham University Biophysical Sciences Institute Judith Howard Prize.
  • Dr Paul Miller and Dr Cathrine Wilson were promoted to Associate Professor.

A few of our undergraduate students were recognised for their achievements with external awards. They are:

  • The British Pharmaceutical Society awarded Reegan Robertson the Undergraduate Pharmacology Prize for their performance in the final year of their degree.
  • The British Pharmaceutical Society awarded Oliver Li the Clinical Undergraduate Prize for their pharmacology research project.
