The Marti-Solano Group recently published a co-authored paper on "Molecular determinants of ligand efficacy and potency in GPCR signaling" in Science. This paper was an international collaboration between co-authors at St Jude Children's Research Hospital,Manbir Sandhu, and the University of Marburg, Franziska Heydenreich, probing into the molecular structure of GPCR and how this influences receptor activity in response to adrenaline binding.
The authors used various techniques to uncover this relationship, such as BRET-based signalling assays and amino acid substitution methods.
